| The Women Behind the Museum |
|
JacksonBlazer writes, "Most people know about reading month, but how many know about women’s history month. We should bring more awareness to celebrate what great accomplishments were made in women’s history. When searching for a local hero to write a story we found one right in our backyard. For many years I did not know Ella Sharp was founded behind a strong, confident, and very gracious woman. The amazing part is she accomplished great things in a time when women had very little or no rights at all."

JacksonBlazer writes, "It was 45 years ago, March 16, 1963, that the first issue of The Jackson Blazer rolled off the printing press.
By Jackson Blazer Co-founder Ben Wade
In the early 60’s in Jackson, MI there were signs on some business establishments which read “door rights reserved”. In Jackson, MS those signs read “Whites Only”. Although the wording was different, the meaning was the same. Although public schools were racially integrated, as a JPS student from K-12 and two years of Jackson Junior (Community) College, I recall certain teachers in expressed racist attitudes which reflected the attitudes of the larger (white) community. | KRUISING WITH KAPT. KRAZY |
JacksonBlazer writes, "First of all, let me introduce myself. My name is Ken Moull, but everybody calls me Kapt. Krazy. I am a Car Nut. It is not my hobby, it is my lifestyle! I buy my own trophies that I give at car shows and the trophies are called Kapt. Krazy’s Koolest Krusier.
These trophies are not usually given to the high dollar rider, but low dollar backyard cars. I have a .64 Fairlane 4dr with 302-AOD and a .61 Ford Unibody pickup with a 460cc combo, which are driven everywhere. They are not show quality, but they are what I’m all about, Old School Hot Rodding!! "
